We all roam the streets and see. Many times we wanted to capture a scene but didn’t know how.  Beyond the technique, the question lays in what we saw and why. As seeing is not enough, we have to also feel what we photograph. Then look and observe as we apply our personal vision perception to capture  life as we recognize natural light and the visual connections.

Taking advantage of the surroundings and at the end of the day cultivate our own perspective and aesthetics as we interpret life and interacting with strangers. It is about real people doing real things and by observing them, the feeling of a new world is created is those 4 corners of a frame. Opens new possibilities around us that constantly reinvent themselves. Photography is perhaps the best excuse to wander and wonder.

This course is for all those that love photography and want to share their stories and projects. It is a safe space to explore, play and grow through your meaningful pictures and stories. Will try to change the mind set and the only competition you will have is with yourself. At the end of the day you will be more proud for your photos and more confident to take the next step and elevate your work.

Visual storytelling

Being a visual storyteller means working on a photographic project withintentionality while making a contribution. This happens when you get the clarityto focus your attention on the story you want to tell, overcome the challenges youencounter, and grow in the process.

As Visual Storytellers, we go beyond taking good pictures; we tell stories withimages, we engage, we move people, and we make change happen.

So ask yourself few simple but yet hard questions:

  • Why do you photograph?
  • What change do I seek to make?
  • Whom are you trying to change?
  • Which part of the process of telling stories with your pictures brings youthe most joy?
  • What impact are you trying to make?

Then, choose your story, choose the right images, connecting to our unique style and we will go through Editing Process: Partial first Edit and Final Edit.

Upon completion of this course, participants are expected to be able to:

  • Have a new visual vocabulary and perception of the world
  • Sharper observation skills
  • Developed own vision and style
  • Have a body of work
  • A need to explore even more

Personal feedback, constructive critique on pictures and guidance.  Assignments that will help each and everyone to see and experience life from a different perception.
